For one of our clients located in Breda, we are currently looking for a "Utilities Engineer".
Job Description
As an utilities engineer, you will need to understand the core business process and purpose of the functional area in the commercialization process and application of principles, concepts, theories and standards of technical/scientific field.You will need to expand your knowledge of specialty area and making related regulatory/ business industry considerations, compliance issues and/or scientific discovery. You will be responsible for specific projects or programs, set project and operational timeframes, objectives and priorities based on the project objectives. You will be developing your own project management techniques.
Responsibilities
Complete complex or novel assignments requiring development of new and/or improved engineering techniques and procedures
Coordinate company policies and develop procedures that affect multiple organizational units
Employ advanced engineering techniques and/or modifications of advanced techniques within area of utilities & facilities engineering
Develop departmental budgets or project budgets encompassing multiple disciplines for areas within project of entirety of smaller projects
Work with manufacturing, process development, utilities, facilities, QA and validation departments in developing requirements and recommendations for large and/or highly complex system facility modifications
Develop strategies for the maintenance and upkeep of site utilities
Monitor and where necessary coordinate utilities maintenance efforts
Support site uptime as part of the maintenance duty call team
Supervise, coordinate and review work of a small staff of engineers, associates and technicians within area of engineering expertise
Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices outside of area of discipline expertise to broad variety of assignments in related fields
Application of mature engineering knowledge in planning and conducting projects
Coordinate the work of consultants, architects and engineering firms on development of standard design documents
Work with project managers to complete facilities and utilities engineering projects within schedule, budget and quality constraints
Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Serves as peer-recognized engineering technology specialist in at least one area, with overall responsibility for determining design methodologies in that area

Requirements
BS degree in mechanical engineering or related technological field or equivalent combination of education and experience (Level 4 Dutch Equivalent plus experience)
Typically 8+ years of relevant work experience with 7+ years in operations/manufacturing environment
In depth disciplinary knowledge of utilities and building management equipment (HVAC, electrical installations, sprinkler installations, etc.)
Developed project management techniques
Direct experience with regulated environment (GMP,GAMP)
Availability to work outside office hours and perform a duty call service
Fluency in English and preferably in Dutch, both in oral and written communication
Good written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of (personal) computer software, specifically: ERP (preferably SAP), MS office
Experience with project management and managing relations.
Familiarity with validation processes and protocols
