Medical Communications Specialist

For this challenging position we are looking for a professional (MSc / Phd) with a passion for dermatology, immunology, rheumatology or similar area who excels in communicative skills, loves to present and is a strong project manager.

Job Description
The Global Medical Affairs department  is responsible for providing medical support for the immunology portfolio, including its existing drugs as well as its pipeline drugs. This medical support takes the form of medical information and internal & external medical education, and is provided to regional and global commercial functions (Marketing and Medical Affairs) and its affiliates around the world who commercialize these products. The core functions of the department are the Therapeutic Area Franchises. We are looking for a specialist for the Dermatology franchise.


  • Development of therapeutic area of expertise (dermatology);
  • Creation of medical materials, such as slide kits, presentations;
  • Medical and product training;
  • Coverage and digestion of medical congresses;
  • Medical support to global, regional and operating company Marketing and Medical teams for specific projects, such as advisory boards and educational events.


  • University degree in a biomedical field or PhD in biomedical field;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Dermatology expertise or knowledge of Rheuma-;Gastroenterology, or Immunology in general;
  • Project management experience;
  • Strong communication skills, specifically the ability to translate data in comprehensive language & capable of storytelling;
  • Able to cope with tight and changing timelines and priorities in order to assist a wide range of customers (both externally and internally) from varying cultures and with varying needs;
  • Able to handle unpredictability and prioritizing tasks;
  • Must be able to work independently & be self-motivated;
  • Must speak, read and write business fluent English;
  • Must have presentation skills, extensive experience with Powerpoint and other presentation tools, and adept at using technology;
  • You intrinsically "love to teach", and also love to continue to learn;
  • A strong service ethic is essential;


  • Contract: 1 year via Oxford Global Resources, realistic long term possibilities in case of strong performance;
  • Start: asap
  • Salary: 3000- 3400 EUR gross monthly based on education and experience;
  • Hours: Full time strongly preferred, 32 hours discussable in case of strong background fit;
  • On site: Must be available on-site at least 4 days per week
