Analytical Development Manager

Job Description

Our client is a large international organization with an extensive portfolio of services to develop high quality products and services. They are now looking for an analytical development manager to function as a key member in mentoring, leading, and supporting the analytical development team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of new analytical methods and programs for multiple clients.

  • Coach a team of analytical chemists to promote the improvement of technical expertise and achievement of results.

  • Liaise with costumers and other internal departments.

  • Ensure the validation of new methods and equipment under strict guidelines.
  • Lead the tech transfer activities internally and externally.
  • Expand on the internal knowledge by reading articles and attending conferences and trainings.

  • Contribute to or write regulatory documents, patents and other relevant internal documentation.

  • Provide technical support to the Analytical Services Department

Requirements

  • A MSc or PhD in a relevant science discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biotechnology).

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience within the (bio)pharmaceutical, Medical Device, CDMO or CRO industry (under GMP regulated environments).

  • Demonstrable experience supervising/managing staff.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different teams at once.

  • Strong background in analytical method development, validation, and tech transfer as well as of analytical techniques (HPLC, UPLC, GC, LC-MS, ICP, etc).

  • A problem-solving mentality and drive to work on own initiative.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills in English.

Benefits

  • 6 month contract with extension.

  • Salary of €65,000-80,000 per year.
