Job Description

Our client is an international contract research organization with an extensive portfolio of services to promote healthier lives. For one of their sites in Ireland, they are looking for a biologics analytical development manager to oversee, coordinate, and implement multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of ~12 project leaders to promote the improvement of their technical expertise and project management skills.

  • Oversee the implementation of new analytical methods and programs for multiple clients.

  • Maintain a high-quality standard for the team's work and make sure it adheres to GMP conditions and strict SOPs.

  • Ensure the validation of new methods and equipment under strict guidelines.

  • Support the raise of deviations and laboratory investigations as well as lead internal and external audits.

  • Participate in the research and development of new analytical methodologies as well as method transfer.

  • Provide technical support to the Analytical Services Department

Requirements

  • A PhD in a relevant science discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biotechnology).

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience within the (bio)pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or CRO industry (under GMP regulated environments).

  • Demonstrable experience supervising/managing staff.

  • Ability to project manage multiple projects at once.

  • Strong background in analytical method development and validation of analytical techniques.

  • Experience in leading and/or participating in method transfer in a regulatory environment.

  • A problem-solving mentality and drive to work on own initiative.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills in English.
