For one of our clients, a global giant in the petro-chemical industry, we are looking for a mid-senior analyst with a focus on refinery products.
Job Description
The successful candidate will join a refinery laboratory supporting the certification and release of a variety of petroleum products. You will join a team of analysts involved in product certification analyses, performing chemical and physical analyses, investigating OOS results and contributing to the highest quality of testing in refinery production.
Responsibilities
- Performing physical testing of products such as Jet A-1, Gasoil, Gasoline, and Bitumen
- Perform product certification analyses
- Conduct tests including distillations, flash point, rheometry, ROM/MON, and more
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of analytical results
- Support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration activities
- Investigate out of specification results
- Contribute to continuous improvement
Requirements
- MBO or HBO in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or related
- 5+ years of experience in the laboratory (in the refinery/fuels/petrol industry)
- Experience working with refinery products
- Experience and knowledge of physical testing of such products
- Good understanding of the laboratory equipment involved
- Ability to work independently and contribute to the team environment
- Available to work 1 weekend per month
