As an Application Specialist you'll play a pivotal role in developing innovative dairy and dairy alternative products, collaborating with project leaders and utilizing your expertise in laboratory and pilot plant applications to bring concepts to commercial success.

Job description

As Associate Application Specialist you provide vital support for laboratory and pilot plant application projects in the realm of product development, working closely with the pilot plant operator. This role is integral to designing trials, conducting sensory evaluations, synthesizing data, and accurately sharing findings with project leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project leaders to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Deliver technical solutions, maintaining a strong presence in the pilot plant alongside the operator.
  • Assist in product demonstrations and serve as the subject matter expert during client meetings.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations, documenting the outcomes of application work.
  • Contribute to the innovation and development of dairy and dairy alternative applications, facilitating the transition of ingredients from concept to commercialization.
  • Share findings, evaluations, and learnings accurately with project leaders to enhance application knowledge in the team.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year of related work experience.
  • Previous experience conducting trials in both laboratory and application pilot plant settings.
  • Experience in customer support roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with product development processes.
  • Basic knowledge of ingredient functionality, including texturizers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and sharing of information.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Fluency in English is required; French speaking proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
