Are you a manufacturing engineer looking for a new opportunity? Are you interested in joining the development process of medical device products for a fast scaling company?

Don't hesitate, and apply today!

Overview:
A fast-scaling medical device start-up based in Galway, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the industrial scale-up of a recently approved product. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for a self-starter who enjoys variety and problem-solving in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the scale-up of manufacturing through the setup, assembly, and qualification of hybrid production stations (bench, PC, jigs, reels, etc.)
  • Use and support the in-house Manufacturing Execution System (MES), which delivers digital work instructions and automated device testing
  • Assemble, configure, and validate new manufacturing stations in line with protocols
  • Generate and maintain all associated qualification and assembly records
  • Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage Bills of Materials (BoMs), purchase orders, and procurement of station components
  • Potentially provide on-site troubleshooting and support for PC-based workstations, basic IT networks and system functionality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams to ensure a smooth transition to scaled production

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in a MedTech, pharma, or biotech environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting regulated production environments (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, etc.)
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Exposure to digital manufacturing systems or MES platforms (basic understanding acceptable; in-depth knowledge a plus)
  • Familiarity with electronic components, including firmware, hardware, and software, as used in production lines or medical devices
  • Advantageous, not prerequisite if candidates are comfortable with IT-based troubleshooting (networks, PC interfaces, basic configuration)

Location: Galway (hybrid on-site)
Industry: Medical Device / Life Sciences
