Job description
We are looking for a senior EHS Specialist who is going to work together with the plant manager. In this position you work together to drive the agenda on environmental, health and safety issues within a complex facility. For this position we are looking for an enthusiastic, good collaborating and highly communicative person. You know how to deal with emotions and how to coach people.
You also have a proven ability to optimise processes and a broad knowledge of food safety practices and standards (HACCP, BRC, Halal). There is plenty of room for your own input and development is greatly encouraged!
Responsibilities
As an senior EHS Specialist you will perform the following tasks:
- Lead the implementation and improvement of the EHS management system.
- Handle complex issues and refer as needed.
- Align goals with plant vision and set performance targets.
- Participate in leadership team and advise on planning, issues and compliance.
- Work with plant manager and project leaders to promote a strong safety culture.
Profile
- Master or bachelor degree
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience
- Good collaboration and communication skills, you need to understand how to deal with emotions and how to coach people
- Broad knowledge of food safety practices and standards (HACCP, BRC, Halal)
- Strong scientific and mathematical knowledge
- Proven ability to optimise processes
- Fluent in English
Conditions
- Salary indication: from €7000 to €9000 gross per month
- Duration: Temporary position until end of June 2025
