Cell Culture Scientist

Job Description

For our client we are currently looking for a motivated scientist. In this position you develop new processes to support production of new and improved vaccines. The emphasis of this position is on troubleshooting and the development of new (single use) processes in antibody production. You will be responsible for the planning, executing and reporting of experiments contributing to a process development or investigational project for viral and bacteriological antigen production, as well as the technology development and validation of USP and DSP. In combination with developing en researching new alternatives for the current processes.

Responsibilities

  • Hybridoma cell culture and seed management
  • MCA production in different systems
  • MCA quantification with ELISA or Octet
  • Supporting DSP-team when needed
  • Optimization of processes involved
  • GLP compliant maintenance of equipment
  • Reporting and documentation of hybridoma and MCA activities
  • Organization of the logistics of received and delivered biological samples

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in biochemistry, biology or molecular biology
  • Experience in mammalian cell culture and antibody production
  • Experience in assays for quality control purposes
  • Experience in working under GLP/GMP principles/guidelines
  • You have good communication skills in Dutch and/or English;and/or willing to learn Dutch
  • You have a high degree of accuracy, initiative, and independence
  • You are flexible and stress-resistant and remains positive when priorities change
  • You have great social and trainer skills, and are able to provide and receive feedback in a constructive way.
  • You make yourself part of discussions and help transform these into positive actions
