Job description
In the role of senior technician you will be part of the microbiology team. The unit is responsible for executing a range of microbial tests on plant seeds to test for seed quality, health and viability.
Together with the other team members, you will apply the appropriate microbiological standards, in order to guarantee the highest quality results under ISO guidelines.
Responsibilities
Focused on short to medium term planning, perform laboratory tasks with corresponding administrative work.
Carry out quality improvement programs to make sure proper administration is in place.
The employee is responsible for adhering to quality- and phytosanitary-policy regulations.
Performing different activities to ensure equipment efficiency and qualification
During the implementation of operations, assisting and/or supervising co-laboratory staff
Requirements
Finished a MLO4/ HLO education in a relevant discipline (microbiology, biomedical sciences or similar)
At least two years of experience in a microbiological laboratory environment, preferably working experience with a diverse range of microbial species
Good command of the Dutch language orally and in writing
Practical experience with laboratory and office software
Benefits
Contract: temp contract for at least 1 year, with possible extension
Salary indication: €3000 - €4000 gross per month
Workhours: fulltime daytime
