The objective of the client's Security Researcher is to provide wireless units with security competence, architectures, and solutions for platforms, networks, and services. The research covers everything from pure cryptography, secure networking, service layer and application security, identity management and privacy to methods for development and evaluation of security systems and software security. And this position will also focus on new concepts and methods, patents, and standardization.

Job Description:

In your role, you will have the opportunity to work related to research in security technologies and solutions for future evolution of 5G mobile systems .Research task covers new technologies, development of methods and concepts to ensure a secure and trustworthy system, covering for example secure distributions of functions in embedded system, trusted computing technologies. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • You have the responsibility to develop and present your results and may also include participation in international standardization efforts.
  • We strive to develop proof-of-concept demonstrators as part of the research work.
  • The work will require extensive cooperation with different Huawei wireless units, as well as with external partners, universities and customers. 
  • You will perform quick analysis of attacks and threat based on real time monitoring and follow the predefined process to address the associated risks.
  • Respond to security incidents and solve the threat effectively.
  • Contribute towards continuous process improvements by providing inputs on the current processes and possible improvement opportunities

Requirements:

  • We are looking for person with a master/PhD degree, in computer science engineering or related subject 
  • Deep understanding of modern security technologies and threats
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Computing platforms security, trusted computing, operating systems security
  • Good understanding of methods to verify security/attestations
  • Ability to perform attack and find the security flaws in system
  • Ability to create technical specification and requirements about security and work independently and with no direction/supervision. 
  • Able to quickly adapt to new or evolving technologies related to new product & services requiring validation or research
  • Able to communicate well in English, both in written and oral form
  • Creativity and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability and eagerness to acquire new knowledge and apply it in the job
  • knowledge of 5G mobile systems, and hands-on experience on top of theoretical skills is particularly valued
  • Good knowledge of ARM trust zone and verified boot
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
  • Talent for innovation, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An existing right to work in the EU required
