Our Client which is a mid-sized cardiovascular manufacturer based out of Limerick requires a Snr R&D Engineer to join the team that is launching a new cardiovascular product - they are currently in early concept & the full lifecycle of this project will be approx. 8 years. The R&D role will be in the Aortic Program for the Vascular Division and will support a new Aortic Endovascular Repair device. It is a covered stent device to treat Aortic aneurysms & dissections. The R&D Engineer will have to have worked with PTFE ( Polytetrafluoroethylene) which is a type of Teflon material that will coat the stent.

- Leading an R&D team of 8 ppl
Experience
- 5+ yrs experience in the design & development of Class III medical devices
- Ideally worked on stents, stent grafts, delivery system in the Aortic space
- Experience with Stent coverings such as PTFE, FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene)
- Experience with compressed, expanded, electrospun PTFE encapsulated stents
- Shaping & Forming covers onto the stents
- Experience of leading a team of engineers
- Strong Communicator
