We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of a new infusion product. This hands-on role blends conceptual design with practical implementation, requiring a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a proven ability to translate ideas into functional prototypes.
Location: On-site (Minimum 3 days/week) Limerick, Ireland
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design efforts from concept to prototype.
- Develop 3D models and detailed design specifications using SolidWorks.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to define hypotheses, design tests, evaluate data, and iterate effectively.
- Conduct tolerance analysis and produce high-quality drafting documentation.
- Collaborate with junior engineers and technicians to drive project success.
Requirements:
- ~10 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on New Product Development.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in fluidics or infusion systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and lead small teams.
On-site presence required at least 3 days per week.
