Job Description
For a period of 7 weeks (approx 40 hours in total), you will be taking the lead in the medical writing of a manuscript/publication for a study in Hypercholesterolemia.
Responsibilities
The contractor will be taking the lead in:
1) medical writing of a study manuscript/publication starting from the Clinical Study Report (CSR) of a Local Data Generation Study in Hypercholesterolemia, a retrospective study starting from a pharmacy database (CSR available as from mid November - beginning Dec 2025). Most of the content for the file will be delivered via the study protocol & CSR, but occasionally additional literature searches may be needed.
2) manuscript submission to peer reviewed target journal(s) and necessary FU during required revision(s), until acceptance of the manuscript.
Requirements
- Scientific education: Biology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical
- Medical writing: minimum 3 years, more experience is highly valued
- Experience in the field of hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis
- Used to interpret clinical study reports and protocols
- Writing experience : Clinical documents and/or publications (articles, abstracts, summaries etc.), preferably also experience with writing retrospective studies starting from a (pharmacy) database
- Experience with manuscript submissions to peer reviewed journals, including taking the lead for revisions and/or resubmissions
- Excellent writing skills in English, proficient in Dutch and French (basic communication)
- Ability to communicate scientific or medical information in a clear and concise manner
- Able to perform limited literature search
- Proactive attitude
- Organizational skills; used to deliver on time
- Good collaboration skills
