Medical Advisor /Medical Affairs Manager Hepatitis

An opportunity has arisen in our team for a 24 month project minimum duration; a temporary position as a Medical Project Manager Hepatitis to join our team in Madrid, Spain.

Essential Functions:

Develops moderately complex ethical promotional materials and strategies in conjunction with the local marketing department.
Develops non-promotional scientific communications. Review the scientific content of internal training materials.
Collects and analyses local epidemiological data, and national or regional treatment, diagnostic and prevention guidelines.
Develops and manages Key Opinion Leaders database.
Provides local medical expert input into global product development teams. May represent the company to groups of experts, medical professional groups, patient´s associations, societies, regulatory and payer groups at local and international scientific meetings.
Assembles and manage key opinion leader advisory groups for each product/therapeutic area accordingly to ethical standards to gain insights about the management of diseases including our products and develop further plans based on those insights received.
Supports the development of local moderately complex clinical data through clinical trials, observational studies, HEOR studies and investigator sponsored research studies in collaboration with Medical Scientists.
Analyses moderately complex trial data and provides interpretation to marketing and sales departments.
Answers and responds to moderately complex clinical inquiries or disclosures to customers.
May answer or coordinate responses to moderately complex competitor inquiries or complaints about company promotional activities.
May direct surveillance and/or complaints about competitor activities and coordinate communications.
Provides medical expertise in the analysis and review of moderately complex adverse events.
May manage and control activities with external suppliers such as Clinical Research Organisations or vendors for educational activities with appropriate budgetary control.
May assist with training of sales force at the national or regional territory level.
May be responsible for moderately complex medical documents and files about company products.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Essential:
Medical Degree, Pharm Degree or other Health Sciences Degree required. Prior experience in Viral Hepatitis or Infectious Diseases field in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Demonstrated ability in data analysis and scientific writing is required.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal, relationship building, and negotiation communication skills are required along with the ability to provide clear and concise moderately complex analysis of quantitative and qualitative concepts.
Good presentations skills for meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Must be able to work with a level of autonomy and independence.
Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to identify and understand moderately complex issues and problems, and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to Sales and Marketing.
Often sought out for advice and collaboration by others both from within and outside company.
Must have the ability to work as a member of several teams that may overlap such as global medical team, regional sales team, and national accounts.
Must be able to utilize moderately complex scientific resources for presentations in a variety of different settings.
Must be fully cognizant of all relevant moderately complex scientific data and regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
