Mechanical Project Engineer- 12 month contract- Marseille

Oxford's client carries out turnkey projects for specialized maintenance, installation or modification on our customers' nuclear facilities in Europe.

The Mechanical Project Engineer is integrated into the engineering teams and participates in the definition, justification and qualification studies of intervention scenarios. In this context, he may be in charge of the development of machines, tools or special processes for the performance of complex operations integrating machining, welding, topometry, non-destructive testing and general mechanics activities.


Day-to-day responsibilities and activities, under the supervision of the technical project manager:

  • Definition of the intervention strategy and tooling concepts,
  • Carrying out feasibility and detail studies,
  • Drafting of design, qualification and implementation files for tooling
  • Drafting of technical documents (summary notes, functional specifications, procurement specifications, test program, test report, operating procedures, FMEA)
  • Drafting of training materials and facilitation of operator training
  • Participation in the development, acceptance and qualification tests of tools
  • Technical support for site teams

Place of service:

  • Marseille Office
  • Potential frequent trips 2 times a week for upto 1 hr 20 mins south of France (depending on project assignment)
  • One-off trips to Chaponnay and Spain

Profile:

  • Graduated with a Bac+5 General Engineering or equivalent,
  • 3 to 8 years of successful experiences
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
