Laboratory Automation Technician

As Laboratory Automation Technician you are responsible for all the software used in this international, innovative pharmaceutical research & development company. With your programming skills and laboratory knowledge you can bridge the gap between technicians & scientists, and the software they use in their research.

Job Description

Whether you are a starting HLO or University graduated professional with an interest in life science, programming (Java, Python), and R&D, or you are an experienced IT professional, who knows a thing or two about implementing complex data management and processing software in a GxP environment, for both this can be the ideal opportunity! For an international pharmaceutical company, that creates innovative therapies for chronic diseases, we are looking for two additional IT engineers to strengthen the growing laboratory automation team. In your role you will help this growing company grow further, and help them expand by implementing exciting new software tools to be used in their laboratory equipment, but also in their LIMS system and day-to-day data processing and management. These are full time positions for long term.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing new software systems in a GMP / GLP environment
  • Updating existing software structures in laboratory processes
  • Making sure software is suited to data processing, transfer and storage
  • Programming, using Python, Java, C++, among other
  • Maintaining current systems such as LIMS
  • Create workable SOPs and work instructions
  • Colleagues can always come to you with the questions they have regarding software

Requirements

  • Finished HBO / BSc (or a hands-on MSc), preferably in life science (or IT with laboratory experience)
  • At least some experience with IT / application engineering in a laboratory environment
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with programming (Java, C++, VB(A))
  • Affinity with data management, automation, systems admin of LIMS and LIMS-like software
  • Good communication skills in English, with Dutch as a bonus
  • Applications of candidates with a finished PhD are not eligible

  • Salary indication: €2500 - €4000 (flexible for more experienced candidates)
