Laboratory Assistant - Buffer preparation

Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Laboratory Assistant to join our team at one of the world's largest food producers. In this rol you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our laboratory, including buffer preparation and other laboratory reagents for our research and development. Our client specializes in the development and growth of hybrid vegetable seeds such as tomato, cucumber and bell pepper, and this is your chance to contribute to this. In order to maintain the quality standards the QC team checks the seeds and plants, and for these tests they need various reagents and buffers. This is where you and your team come in, to make sure these solutions are available when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of buffers and other laboratory reagents according to established protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of buffer preparation and inventory
  • Ensure that all buffers and reagents are stored properly and labeled correctly
  • Monitor buffer expiration dates and reorder as needed
  • Assist with other laboratory duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations


Requirements

  • MBO level in your work;
  • At least a year of (internship)experience in the laboratory is a must;
  • Experience with inventory management is a pré;
  • Familiarity with a quality regulated environment is considered an advantage;
  • Available fulltime;
  • Good communicative skills in Dutch or English;
  • You have a hands-on mentality and are a team player;


Benefits

  • Employment contract: 1 year via Oxford Global Resources, with a possible extension afterwards;
  • Salary indication: € 2100,- to € 2600,- gross per month, depending on education and experience;
  • Working hours: fulltime (38 hours)
