Job Description
Our client is seeking a Lab Equipment Acquisition and Compliance Associate to support the acquisition and qualification of quality control (QC) laboratory equipment. In this role, you will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure the right laboratory instruments are acquired and meet regulatory and data integrity requirements. This position offers a great entry point into quality excellence, validation, and lab management while allowing you to build expertise in equipment qualification processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end acquisition process of laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with GxP requirements.
- Assist in writing technical and qualification requirements for new instruments.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the equipment meets operational needs.
- Contribute to the development and updating of procedures related to laboratory instrumentation.
- Help review and interpret vendor IQ/OQ reports, ensuring any gaps are addressed.
- Ensure laboratory systems align with GxP and data integrity standards.
- Write and maintain documentation in German and English.
- Support project teams in instrument implementation and life cycle management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment.
- Basic understanding of equipment qualification processes (IQ, OQ).
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
- Interest in quality systems, compliance, and project coordination.
- Ability to handle documentation and regulatory requirements with attention to detail.
