Job description
Our client is specialized in the breeding, production and sales of hybrid vegetable seeds such as tomato, cucumber, sweet bell pepper, melon, eggplant, etc. At the laboratory different seeds are sowed, grown and after a visual inspection transplanted for further research.
For this department we are looking for a technician with knowledge and (internship) experience within a similar environment.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out all laboratory activities and service assignments together with corresponding administrative work based on short to medium term planning
- These include visual inspection of seedlings, sowing of new seedlings and cleaning of the growrooms.
- The employee is responsible for compliance with regulation regarding quality- and phytosanitary policies
- Carrying out various tasks to maintain the quality of equipment and quality certification
- Proactive approach towards process improvement
- Supporting and/or supervising co-laboratory workers during execution of activities
- Reporting in LIMS;
Requirements
- Completed MLO4/HLO education in the direction of microbiology, molecular biology or plant biology;
- Experience in a diagnostic or QC environment is a plus;
- Affinity with computer & lab automation (Office 365, liquid handling, LIMS);
- Own transport is recommended as the location is difficult to reach by public transport;
- Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language orally and in writing;
- You are practical and assertive and above all a nice colleague;
Benefits
- Employment contract: 1 year via Oxford Global Resources, prolongation not excluded
- Salary indication: € 2100,- to € 2600,- gross per month, depending on education and experience.
