In-lab Post Silicon Characterization & Validation Engineer

For one of our clients located in Mechelen, we are looking for an In-lab Post Silicon Characterization & Validation Engineer.

Job Description

You will have a leading role (expected that you will have 10+ years' of experience) in the Post Silicon characterization, verification and validation of new SoC/ASIC components that will serve next gen hearing solutions. Focus will be on components with high digital content including our next gen multi-core DSP in advanced technologies.
You will take ownership of electrical work packages within projects and be accountable for progressing and tracking these, taking initiative to resolve issues or escalate where needed.

Responsibilities

Accountability 1: Characterisation, Verification and Validation
Ensure safety and efficacy of SoC and ASIC components through rigorous testing

  • Identify and develop test methods, jigs and setups for characterisation and verification of electrical designs and manufactured components
  • Prepare and execute test plans, test protocols and reports to ensure safety and efficacy of devices
  • Update and improve protocols based on learnings
  • Coordinate activities and support other engineers and technicians when required to progress plan
  • Understand, follow and where needed suggest improvements to current V&V processes and procedures. Maintain an understanding of V&V processes and strategies across the company.

Accountability 2: Quality

  • Document & report developments and progress clearly
  • Follow all applicable development processes and methodologies. These may be part of internal policies, applicable international standards, applicable regulatory requirements and/or specific team processes
  • Collaborate and influence across multiple teams to ensure good quality delivery of the activities

Accountability 3: Personal Impact and Communication

  • Plan, monitor, manage and report on work packages within projects, maintaining close communication with project managers to enable successful project delivery
  • Communicate openly and effectively across multiple teams
  • Network, influence and persuade internally and externally with no direct authority
  • Ensure order and quality through checking and monitoring of your own work and that of others

Team Role (Individual contributor):

  • Follow relevant quality procedures in order to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement. Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.g. audit) when appropriately trained to undertake these responsibilities.
  • Contribute ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables.
  • Work safely, complying with all safety procedures, rules and instructions; and reporting workplace hazards, incidents or injuries to manager.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' of experience in a similar role
  • Fluent in English
