We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support clients with specialized chromatography and elemental analysis instruments across the region. This role combines technical service, customer training and remote support, with a strong focus on autonomy and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
You will install, maintain and repair Chemical Analysis systems, manage service contracts and provide technical support via phone and email. The role includes field visits, help desk coverage and accurate spare‑parts handling.
Responsibilities
- Field support for advanced equipment used in energy, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical environments.
- Travel across the Benelux region and to selected European locations to provide services.
- Plan and execute system startup's, performance checks and technical interventions with minimal supervision.
- Serve as a key technical contact, guiding users through operation, maintenance and best‑practice workflows.
- Provide remote troubleshooting and application support when not on site.
- Ensure accurate handling of parts, tools and service documentation.
- Build long‑term customer relationships by identifying service needs and supporting contract renewals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related technical field.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are a benefit.
- Solid background working with analytical laboratory equipment; experience with GC is highly beneficial.
- Strong diagnostic mindset and ability to solve issues independently in field conditions.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments such as refineries and oil laboratories.
- Skilled communicator proficient with digital tools; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel across multiple European countries.
