Are you passionate about understanding what drives consumers in their food choices? Do you want to make a real impact on products enjoyed by people around the world? As part of the Global Sensory & Consumer Science team, you'll work at the intersection of consumer behavior, product innovation, and technology. You'll ensure consumer insights from six global regions (North, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia-Pacific) are translated into tangible innovations in products and packaging.

Job Description
You'll be responsible for creating and executing consumer learning plans that support both commercial and technical projects. Your work will directly contribute to successful product renovations and innovations that make a real difference in taste, experience, and market leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and execute research plans (qual & quant research covering product testing, claims testing, testing of MVPs, prototype tasting and concept refinement): including briefing and supervision of external research agencies and briefing and coordination of internal teams including data scientist running analysis, reporting, debrief. Transform results into insights and simple recommendations
  • Guide Competitive intelligence programs associated with top 12 markets. Track competitiveness performance of our products and portfolio vs. competition. Validate category expansion strategy and taste segment in each market, identify new opportunities
  • Consolidate insight and patterns, share knowledge to maximize synergies and speed when replicating Innovation and strategic projects
  • Management of trainees & partner agency relationships
  • Guide and train Zones S&CS Mangers and teams on S&CS Toolkits & Data collection programs
  • Sustain and develop external network related to Sensory, Physiology, Nutrition, Psychology, Behavior, Semiotic, Applied Data science, Design of Experiments and Consumer Science as needed.

Profile

  • A Master's or PhD in Consumer Science, Psychology, Food Science, Physiology, Applied Statistics, or Data Science.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Sensory & Consumer Science or consumer research.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis tools such as EyeQuestion, Fizz, Compusense, or Xlstat is an advantage.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills - you know how to turn data into a compelling story.
  • A hands-on, pragmatic approach and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as part of your role.
