As a Chromatography Specialist, you will be responsible for performing detailed residue analyses on a wide range of products for a leading company in the food sector in the region of Rotterdam. You will also actively maintain, optimize and troubleshoot chromatography system to ensure consistent analytical performance.

You will play an active role in maintaining analytical quality, optimizing laboratory workflows, and ensuring reliable results through proper instrument handling and data interpretation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform chromatographic analyses (GC, HPLC, LC) on food and feed samples
  • Analyze for pesticide residues, MOSH/MOAH, and related contaminants
  • Evaluate and interpret chromatographic data accurately
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance
  • Calibrate equipment and monitor system suitability
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and internal quality standards
  • Contribute to method improvements and efficiency enhancements
  • Manage consumables, standards, and lab inventory
  • Work closely with team members to uphold high analytical standards

Your Profile

  • HBO or MLO-4 degree in Analytical Chemistry (or similar)
  • At least 3 years of experience with chromatography techniques
  • Strong understanding of GC systems and detector technologies
  • Experience interpreting complex chromatographic data
  • Background in food, feed, or environmental analysis is advantageous
  • Experience with LC techniques is a plus
  • Able to work independently in a structured lab environment
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is considered an advantage
