Associate Scientist Bioanalytical Chemistry

Job description

For a company with their roots in pharmaceutical and food industries, we are searching for an experienced Associate Scientist. With your experience in analytical chemistry, with techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS and more, you will help an analytical team both with hands on analytical research, and with developing new methods to safely characterize and quantify complex molecules such as oligosacharides and peptides. Next to this you also bring in some biochemical experience (i.e. ELISA), to combine this in your work. Ideally you have worked with GMP or GMP-like environments, since quality is of utmost importance in this position.

The position is initially temporary, for 6 months, but can possibly be extended in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands on research with analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, MALDI-MS

  • Conduct hands on analyses with biochemical techniques such as ELISA, EF, etc.

  • Method development for primarily analytical chemical techniques (UPLC, HPLC, LC, LC-MS/MS)

  • Write and review scientific reports, together with the analytical team and your team leader

  • In future, possibly coordinating and guiding more junior technicians

Profile

  • Finished BSc or MSc in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or other related studies

  • A senior level op experience with analytical development for HPLC, LC-MS, etc.

  • Experience with biochemical techniques such as ELISA, electroforese, are a plus

  • Experience within pharmaceutical or (medical) food environment a huge plus

  • Knowledge of ISO or GMP quality guidelines a must

  • Professional level of English, with other languages as a plus

  • A self starter, independant, scientific yet hands on, knowledgeable and communicative

Benefits
