Job Description

This role involves carrying out biopharmaceutical production activities in either upstream (USP) or downstream (DSP) processing. Depending on your expertise, you could be responsible for preparing media, buffers, and equipment, running automated systems, executing manufacturing activities, more, all while ensuring strict adherence to GMP and safety protocols. Additionally, you could participate in troubleshooting, process optimization, and technology transfer projects to support the introduction of new products and maintain operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Perform daily manufacturing activities in USP or DSP, including media/buffer preparation, cell culture, purification, and equipment cleaning (CIP, COP, SIP).
  • Operate and oversee bioreactors, chromatography systems, filtration units, and other bioprocess equipment within a GMP-compliant setting.
  • Support process optimization by analyzing production parameters and proposing efficiency improvements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and process deviations, escalating as needed to team leads.
  • Execute cleaning, sterilization, and buffer/media preparation protocols in compliance with established procedures.
  • Ensure proper batch documentation, data recording, and regulatory compliance in alignment with SOPs.


Requirements

  • In possession of an EFZ, bachelor, or master degree in a field such as chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical, food, biotechnology, or related.
  • 1-5 years of experience in USP or DSP in the industrial sector.
  • GMP experience and good understanding of GMP/GLP regulations.
  • Fluent in English or German.
  • Hands-on mentality.
