We are looking for several technicians in the field of preclinical immunology. In this role you are responsible for the practical execution of various immunological assays to evaluate vaccine candidates. The samples are analyzed by laboratory techniques such as ELISA, Neutralization Assays and Flow Cytometry.

Job Description

As a Technician within the Immunology department you work on the immunological evaluation of vaccine candidates. In this role one of the tasks is you perform the serological immuno-assays (ELISA, Virus Neutralization Assay) needed to deliver the immunological data to evaluate preclinical vaccine candidates. Other frequently used techniques are Flow Cytometry (5-20+ channel) and cell cullturing. These activities are performed in a BSL2(+) accredited lab, meaning that all activities must follow prescribed procedures, and must be documented accurately in (digital) lab note books. You generate the data and together with the team you do a scientific evaluation and review of the experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Planning & Performing serological immuno-assays (ELISA / Virus Neutralization assays) and/or (cellular) assays (eg. Flow Cytometry)
  • Generate the data from the experiments for evaluation and discuss the outcome of experiments and plan for follow up experiments.
  • Sample logistics;

Requirements

  • A2, BSc or MSc in a relevant field e.g. immunology, biochemistry, Life sciences, Virology;
  • Your responsibilities will depend on your educational background;
  • Relevant experience in serological immuno-assays (ELISA / Virus Neutralization assays), or,
  • Experience with (5 channel) flow cytometry.
  • You have some or more of the mentioned relevant techniques and work structuredly
  • Affinity with operational excellence;
  • A pro-active team worker who can work independently when needed;
  • English is a Must, French is considered a plus;
  • You are eligble to work in the European Union

  • Salary: €2700- €3500 gross monthly based on a full-time position
