Job Description
Our client, located in Leuven, is developing a comprehensive portfolio for screening, diagnosis and monitoring of a wide range of infectious diseases. For the months of June, July, August and September 2023 we are looking for students to help our client with key development studies.
Responsibilities
- You will support preparation (using electronic lab books) and technical execution of large-scale studies on the full workflow of the product in development (including sample preparation, loading miDiagnostics PCR cards, starting PCR runs on miDiagnostics Readers, and provide support to interpret and analyze results).
- Example of studies you will be involve in are Stability studies, LoB and LoD studies, Interference studies and others.
- You will gain experience in the development of new IVD product according to industrial guidelines.
- You will execute experiments in the Quality Management System (QMS) of the company.
Profile
- Minimum last year of BSc - preferable with hands-on experience in the lab (pipetting skills)
- Bachelor in Biomedical Laboratorium technology (MLT) or Farmaceutical laboratorium technologie (FBT) - preferable with hands-on experience in the lab
- Experience with molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR - is a plus
- Good laboratory practice
- Knowledge of English; Dutch is an asset but not mandatory
- At least available during 1 full month but preferably longer
- Existing right to work in Europe recquired
