For a large diagnostic laboratory in the Utrecht region, we are looking for lab technicians for Covid-19 diagnostics, who will perform PCR test work.
Job description
In this role as Molecular Diagnostic Analyst Covid-19 you are responsible for performing molecular tests for corona diagnostics. Together with a team of laboratory professionals, you will be responsible for a large flow of incoming samples, and performing PCR testing on these samples.
This is an extremely suitable opportunity for recent graduates, to gain hands on experience in a large lab.
In this position you will work alternating daytime, evenings, and possibly soon in night shifts.
Responsibilities
- You will perform analyses for the diagnosis of Covid-19;
- You will work with sample preprocessing, DNA / RNA extractions etc.;
- You will perform PCR analyses independently and quickly;
- You will report your results to your supervisor;
- You will work under a strict quality system.
Profile
- You have a finished MLO, BSc or MSc in a laboratory environment OR;
- You have no laboratory related degree but already have experience with corona diagnostics, pipetting and PCR;
- (Internship) experience with PCR and molecular biology is a plus, not a must;
- You are able to maintain an overview in a busy environment;
- You are reliable and able to work neatly and accurately according to regulations;
- Flexible and available to work in day-, evening- and night shifts.
Terms of employment
- Contract: temporary via Oxford Global Resources;
- Duration: 3 months, possibly longer;
- Details: working in 2 and 3 shifts;
- Hours: 32 - 40 hours;
- Salary: 2100 - 2800 euro gross/month;
- Location: region Utrecht.
