Job Description:
As a Financial Reporting Accountant III, you will be responsible for performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings and managing general ledger accounts. You will ensure that financial data is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, you will support the Finance Manager with various ad-hoc tasks and in submitting government and grant applications. A key part of the role involves issuing sales and intercompany invoices as well as managing accounts receivable. You will work closely with the accounts payable administrator to control invoice bookings, payments, and tax declarations.
Responsibilities:
- Performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
- Daily maintenance of financial records of B/S and P/L accounts
- Reconciling critical general ledger accounts such as bank, prepayments, and fixed assets
- Issuing sales and intercompany invoices, managing accounts receivable
- Leading intercompany activities and payment netting
- Collaborating with the accounts payable administrator for invoice bookings and payments
- Updating personnel costs and WKR documentation
- Submitting data for CBS questionnaires within deadlines
- Proactively supporting the Finance Manager with various tasks and reports
Profile:
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a Dutch environment, preferably in multinational organizations
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Experience collaborating with auditors and preparing statutory financial reports
- Knowledge of Dutch GAAP, US GAAP, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, and Exact software is a plus
- Good understanding of the Dutch language (speaking is not required)
