Our client is a prominent global producer of specialty chemicals, dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for water-intensive industries worldwide with a laboratory in The Hague. They offer a diverse product portfolio, encompassing water treatment chemicals, process aids, functional additives, and advanced monitoring systems. Currently they are looking for a lab-technician with a chemical background (ICP, HPLC, titrations) to support their team.

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled lab technician to join our client's team. The position involves conducting controlled laboratory tests to generate reliable data for various research projects. The lab technician will be responsible for analyzing food samples, utilizing gas chromatography (GC), high-pressure chromatography (HPLC), and ion chromatography. Moreover, the successful candidate will support method validation and implementation and collaborate with other research labs. Maintenance of laboratory equipment, technical judgment for data accuracy, and interpretation of experimental results are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the lab technician will use the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for work tracking and result reporting, while developing and adhering to SOPs for methods, equipment use, and sample tracking. Training colleagues on procedures and equipment usage, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring a clean workspace are essential responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
* Plan, set up, and conduct controlled laboratory tests for research projects.
* Analyze food samples using GC, HPLC, and ion chromatography.
* Support method validation and implementation.
* Collaborate with other research labs as required.
* Maintain and ensure proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
* Apply technical judgment to determine data accuracy and interpret experimental results.
* Utilize LIMS for work tracking and result reporting.
* Develop and follow SOPs for methods, equipment use, and sample tracking.
* Train colleagues on procedures and equipment usage.
* Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Laboratory work or similar preferred.
* Proven lab technician experience.
* Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, including GC, HPLC, and ion chromatography.
* Familiarity with sample preparation and analysis for food-related applications.
* Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
* Commitment to safety protocols and laboratory standards.
