Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced hardware developer to support projects in-house. The successful candidate will have proven experience in PCB design, hardware design and system integration and prototype hardware debugging / reworking. Experience in medical device design and product verification and validation is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- PCB Design - Altium: Schematic capture and PCB layout
- Hardware design/System Integration: Manage the entire hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production, with an understanding of system-level integration
- Prototype Hardware Debug/Rework: PCB bring-up, testing and rework.
- Low-Level Communication: Low-level protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)
- Power Management: Low-power DC-DC regulator design and battery charging circuitry (especially for rechargeable batteries)
- EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility): EMC/EMI principles and testing to meet regulatory standards.
Desirable Experience
- Microcontroller & Embedded Systems: Experience in embedded systems, specifically with STM32 microcontrollers, including peripheral configuration, low-power modes, and debugging.
- Wireless Communication: Experience with RF circuit design and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) implementation.
- Medical Device Design: Experience with medical device development, including knowledge of ISO 13485, IEC 60601.
- Product Verification & Validation: Hands-on experience with the Design Verification (DV) and Design Validation (DV) process.
