Interested in making an impact in the food industry with a large international company? This might be your ideal job. We're in search of a technician passionate about food ingredients and experienced in efficient biotechnological techniques. As a fermentation technician, you'll contribute to various projects related to developing savoury food products. Through fermentation experiments, you'll screen strains and optimize growth conditions for yeast and other micro-organisms, particularly within a significant sugar reduction project. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on technician with a flexible mindset to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fermentation experiments and analyse results.
- Work on large fermentation projects to enhance efficiency.
- Organize work to meet deadlines and project goals.
- Address technical challenges.
- Report results, interpret data, and adhere to quality guidelines.
- Contribute insights to project teams based on your experimental findings.
Requirements
- HLO or MSc education in biotechnology, life science, microbiology, or related fields.
- Prior work experience preferred; internship experience with fermentation encouraged.
- Ideally, possess experience with fermentation in a food context.
- Biotechnology experience with cell culture or microbiology highly welcome.
- Critical and analytic mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills.
- Excellent English communication skills; Dutch proficiency is a plus.
- Reside in the Delft area with a valid, unrestricted work permit.
Benefits
- Contract: 12 months via Oxford Global Resources, potential for extension.
- Salary: €3000 - €4000 gross per month.
