Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the food safety, quality, and operational teams by performing routine analytical and laboratory testing. The ideal candidate is a hardworking individual who can effectively carry out routine product testing, monitor instrumentation performance, and conduct tests with intermediate supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine analysis of product testing with intermediate supervision.
  • Check and monitor instrumentation performance, running calibration checks, preventive maintenance tasks, and simple repairs to analytical instrumentation.
  • Document results into databases and/or communicate test results to internal customers as required.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to contribute to the development of food/feed safety, quality, and regulatory culture.
  • Maintain and update customer specifications books, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural food safety requirements for all individual testing.
  • Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process, and final products independently.
  • Support more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.
  • Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues under general supervision.

Profile

  • Two years of related work experience.
  • Strong computer program proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and correspondence.
